What is a sixQ Assessment?

sixQ answers an organization’s most important business questions using a custom and scientific assessment.

Every decision maker has important questions that demand answers.

Whether it’s competencies, culture, engagement, a sales program, or any other management program, sixQ enables you to understand the strategy (what, why) and implementation (how) in context (when, where), while providing insights to the right people (who).

sixQ provides custom assessments for custom people strategies.

Forward thinking organizations have invested in management programs (e.g., competency models, career planning, communication, team building). Off-the-shelf or DIY assessments do not provide the level of customization and/or rigor commensurate with the unique programs you have developed.

Our PhD founder invented QuestionScienceSM.

Our founder published peer-reviewed scholarly articles on how six-question types (what, why, how, when, where, who) can be used to structure any assessment.  All custom assessments are developed by PhDs using the sixQ methodology and proprietary software.

Top 5 Benefits of sixQ Assessments

1. Evidence

Organizations often lack clear evidence, answers to their most pressing business questions.  People are not machines; assessing attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors is much more complicated.

2. Science

sixQ Assessments are performed by the inventors of QuestionScienceSM, who are also trained PhDs in the all aspects of the scientific method.  This means all assessments are valid and reliable.

3. Sustainable Competitive Advantage

Leverage sixQ Assessments for your most pressing people strategies — those that are a combination of the greatest opportunity, highest risk, areas of current/future investment — to develop insights and answers that are the foundation of sustainable competitive advantage.

4. Unique + Best Practices

Every organization is unique.  sixQ assessments are developed from scratch to assess your most pressing questions (what, why, how, when, where, who).  This means we can measure unique variables to your context.  However, we can reinforce any assessment with already established variables from the academic literature.

5. Implementation

The sixQ framework is concrete, and all assessments ultimately lead to answering the how-question.  Our expert PhDs work with you to systematically assess the fit between initiatives to people strategies.  Then we assist in developing implementation plans.

Assessment Steps

Step 1: sixQ Working Session

In a facilitated working session sixQ’s PhDs work with your key stakeholders (executives, decision makers, impacted employees) to examine your most important questions (what, why, how, when, where, who).  An assessment model is developed that includes hypotheses about what you think is most important.  The assessment model is refined as needed with supplemental interviews and research from the academic literature.

Step 2: Assessment Instrument

The assessment model is operationalzied into an assessment instrument.

Step 3: Survey Administration

The survey is administered to relevant stakeholders (employees, customers, partners).

Step 4: Scientific Analysis

Using statistical techniques appropriate to the assessment at hand, the results are analyzed using sixQ’s proprietary software. Analyses can include, but are not limited to:

  • Multiple Regression Analysis
  • Hierarchical Linear modeling
  • Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis
  • Structural Equation Modeling
  • Cluster Analysis

Step 5: Answers

Deliverables include a custom feedback report and working session facilitated by sixQs PhDs.

Note: sixQ Proprietary software is utilized to develop feedback reports.
